The Blind now on iTunes

I used Draft2Digital to upload everything to date to the Apple store. Draft2Digital has done a great job so far. The interface is easy for Luddites like me, and it only took a few days to get into the store. A few titles I uploaded just tonight, so check back soon.

The Blind: Episode III

Sent the draft to the editor this afternoon, so we should have Episode III up by next weekend.

The interesting part about writing a serial is that you can't go back and change a plot point or a detail like you can in a conventional manuscript. Once the episode is published, it's published (you could go back, make a change, and then republish, but I'm looking forward, not backward).

The inability (or reluctance, in my case) to make changes forces you to a) plan ahead very well, b) leave enough wiggle room for future ideas, or c) have constant problem solving abilities. A good blend of these three will serve you well.

I have an idea where this will head for the next couple of episodes, but after that, you know as much as I do. A friend of mine that's helping me on the technical side said he was curious how this is all going to come together. Well, so am I.

Thanks to the guy/gal in the UK that picked up Episode I - much appreciated. Hope you enjoyed it.

The Blind (Episode II: The Lodge) now live

From one of my beta readers on Episode II: The Lodge:

Flowed beautifully, kept me guessing, and wonderful twists on so many levels. Looking forward to seeing how this jigsaw puzzle comes into focus.

The premises was established in Episode I, and we turned up the heat in Episode II. We'll have more twists and characters in III, coming later on in February 2013. Stay tuned.

The Blind (Episode II: The Lodge)

Waiting to get final comments back from the editor, then this will be going live. It's coming in around ~25 pages.

Thanks to the guy in Japan and the Kiwi in New Zealand that bought Bike Lane. More stuff coming to Kobo, as well.
